Chipping Norton Theatre is celebrating 50 years of Christmas pantos with Dick Whittington.

If you fancy booing at villains, chuckling at the Dame's innuendo and cheering on the plucky hero then head to the intimate theatre for what's become a yuletide institution.

Join Dick and his feline companion on a globetrotting adventure full of non-stop laughter, fantastic original music and sheer silliness.

From the chaotic streets of Victorian London to jungle palaces, from the world’s worst cook to the first female explorer - and of course not forgetting the sweeties - this show has it all.

Oxford Mail:

It's an hilarious brand-new twist on this traditional tale, written by the theatre's own artistic director John Terry.

And to celebrate its panto-versary, the theatre is creating a special limited-edition programme looking back out over its half-century of grand Dames, colourful characters and lots of audience participation.

Dick Whittington is running for 99 performances, making it one of the longest running pantos in the country.

On now until January 15, 2023. Book online at chippingnortontheatre.com or call the booking office on 01608 642350.
