A MAN in his 80s died in Wantage after being hit by a van.
Thames Valley Police said that at 5.25pm on Wednesday, a white Volkswagen 1000 van hit a pedestrian on Charlton Road, just outside the garden centre, and the man died at the scene.
The driver of the van was not injured and no arrests have been made.
The police are now appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following the incident.

Investigating officer PC Julia Stroud of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, based at Bicester, said: “Very sadly, a man has died following this collision and our thoughts are with his family, who are being supported at this difficult time.
“I would ask anybody who was in the area at the time who witnessed this collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police either by reporting online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43220517161.
“If you were driving in the area and have dash-cam, I would urge you to please check this and get in touch if it has captured anything that may assist this investigation.”
