The trial of an animal rights campaigner accused of plotting an arson attack on Oxford University was adjourned this morning.
Mel Broughton, of Semilong Road, Northampton, was due to stand trial from today at Oxford Crown Court accused of conspiracy to commit arson, possession of an article with intent to destroy property and keeping an explosive substance with intent.
Following a defence request for more time, Judge Julian Hall adjourned the 47-year-old's case until Wednesday, June 11, and remanded him in custody.
