FORENSICS officers appear to have recovered a weapon around the corner from where a man in his 20s was allegedly murdered.
Police could be seen on Albert Street this morning, near the junction with Wellington Street and approximately five minutes’ walk from the Walton Street scene where police searches have been focused since Sunday morning.
In a video sent to the Oxford Mail, an officer could be seen photographing a silver object in the gutter before picking it up and examining it. The video was taken shortly before 11am this morning.
Thames Valley Police was approached for comment.
So far, 10 people have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder.
This morning, Oxford magistrates extended the amount of time seven suspects could be held without charge, giving detectives more time to question the men.
