Actor and singer Jason Donovan has married his long-term partner Angela Malloch in a surprise ceremony in Bali.

Mr Donovan, who lives near Wantage and is a supporter of Oxford Children's Hospital, married Ms Malloch while on holiday celebrating his 40th birthday.

The star was reported to have invited friends and family to the Indonesian island because he was holding an early 40th birthday party - then told them it was actually a wedding.

The 39-year-old father of two has raised thousands of pounds for theChildren's Hospital, starting last year's OX5 Run at Blenheim Palace and donating his £37,000 prize for winning TV show I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of Here to the cause.
