Chiltern Railways is offering free travel to serving military personnel and veterans to and from Services of Remembrance throughout Oxfordshire.

Travel to/from London

If you are travelling to attend the Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in London or other Services of Remembrance, free travel on Chiltern Railway services on Sunday, November 13 2022 is available if you are serving military personnel or a veteran.

Travel in Great Britain

If you are travelling to attend a Service of Remembrance anywhere else in Great Britain, free travel on Chiltern Railways services from/to your home station to the closest rail station to the service will be available on Sunday, November 13. 

How can you travel for free? 

If you are a serving member of the Armed Forces, you will be able to travel for free if you travel in uniform or can show a current MOD90 Ministry of Defence-issued identity card.

If you are a veteran, you will need a form of documentation that identifies you as such. This includes a Ministry of Defence-issued Veterans ID, Veterans Railcard, Veterans Oyster photocard or other form of identification, such as proof of pension.
