ROBERT BENNETT, 45, of Hamble Road, Didcot, was convicted of stealing gold jewellery belonging to a woman in Earley, Berkshire, in 2021. The judge sentenced him to 26 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for two years, with requirements to complete drug rehabilitation and mental health treatment programmes. He must also complete the building better relationships domestic abuse course with probation. He was ordered to pay £530 in compensation.
PAWEL DMITRUK, 35, of Lodge Close, Banbury, was found guilty of being in charge of a Volvo XC90 in Morrisons car park last November while over the drink drive limit. Prosecutors said he had 111mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35. He must do 40 hours of unpaid work, was ordered to wear an alcohol abstinence tag for 90 days and banned from driving for nine months. The bench imposed £640 in costs and ordered he pay a £95 victim surcharge.
ELLIE-MAY HILL, 25, of Aintree Close, Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to assaulting two people and using violence to gain entry to a property in Golden Road last October. She was given a community order with 100 hours of unpaid work, up to 50 rehabilitation activity requirement days, and must pay £300 in compensation. The bench ordered she pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
ZAFRAN SULTAN, 40, of Rymers Lane, Oxford, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man by beating him, common assault against two others, damaging glasses at the Cowley Retreat bar last December and using threatening behaviour. He must complete 100 hours of unpaid work, up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and an 18 month alcohol treatment programme. The bench ordered he pay £85 in costs.
PAUL WIGGINS, 63, of Plowman Tower, Oxford, admitted assault by beating, common assault and threatening behaviour. He must pay £150 in compensation to two victims and complete a nine month alcohol treatment programme and up to 32 rehabilitation activity requirement days as part of a community order.
CATHERINE GRAY, 42, of Southfield Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to possession of 0.041g of heroin in Glanville Road. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £85.
QASIM HANIF, 40, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa on Abingdon Road. He had 102mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, around three times the legal limit. He was banned from driving for 46 months and must complete 200 hours of unpaid work and 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. The bench ordered he pay £199 in costs and surcharge.
MITCHELL CHELTON, 28, of Lane End, High Wycombe, admitted damaging a mobile phone in Banbury in April. The magistrates passed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered he pay £107 in costs and surcharge.
PAULA PRYDE, 41, of Broadmarsh Close, Grove, admitted drink driving an Audi A4 at the Esso garage in Marcham Road, Abingdon. Tests showed she was twice the drink drive limit. She was fined £120, banned from driving for 18 months and must pay £133 in costs and surcharge.
GHEORGHE BUCATARU, 35, of Orange Hill Road, Edgeware, pleaded guilty to shoplifting from the Versace and Phillip Plein stores in Bicester Village. The magistrates imposed 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered the defendant pay £199 in costs and surcharge.
