A pub landlord who planned to punt the length of the River Thames in Oxfordshire for charity has hit a snag.
John Bellinger needs someone with a cabin cruiser to be his back-up crew for the journey down the river.
Mr Bellinger, 53, is landlord of the Bell Inn, in Adderbury, north Oxfordshire - the home of Katharine House Hospice, which he often carries out fundraising stunts for.
One of his regulars owns a punt and has offered it to Mr Bellinger to make the unusual journey.
The trip will start at St John's Lock, in Lechlade, Gloucestershire, on Sunday, June 22, and will end the following Saturday - 80 miles away near Henley.
Mr Bellinger said: "The problem is I need to find someone with a small cabin cruiser who will trail me and provide back-up on the trip - as well as giving me a bed for the night."
Mr Bellinger is noted for tackling tough challenges for charity.
His last was a cycle ride visiting all the Hook Norton Brewery pubs in Oxfordshire - an adventure that yielded £4,500 for the hospice.
Anyone who can help should call Mr Bellinger on 01295 810338.
