THE people of Didcot have been asked to help shape the town's future by choosing a new name for its central square.
Mayor Tony Harbour took to the square - which is next to the Cornerstone Arts Centre - in a bid to encourage residents to pick their favourite name from a shortlist of 11.
The shortlist reads; Bond Square, Broadway Square, Junction Square, Stonor Square, Mount Pleasant Square, Station Square, Times Square, Tappins Square, Tappins Plaza, Meylan Square and Meylan Place.
Mr Harbour said: "A new town square with a name synonymous with Didcot is important.
"We have to have a central focal point in the town because there does not seem to be one at the moment.
"I would absolutely urge people to vote. It is everyone's chance to make a difference."
The results of the vote will be put to South Oxfordshire District Council who will make the final decision.
