A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a shop window was ‘smashed in’ in Oxford this weekend.
The 29-year-old from Oxford was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal and he remains in police custody.
It happened at Sainsbury’s in Cowley Road and was reported to police at 11.30pm last night (October 23).
Police have taped off the shop front of the store near the junction with James Street.

A witness walking by the store last night took pictures of the damage and reported blood on the broken window.
He said: "Police taped off the whole of Sainsbury's because someone had smashed the window. There was also blood on the glass."
Anybody who witnessed this incident is asked to call Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference number 43220477685.
