The family of Wheatley mother Debbie Smith have told of their heartbreak following her death.
Mrs Smith, 47, died after her throat was cut at her home in Bell Lane, Wheatley, on Bank Holiday Monday.
A 49-year-old man currently in Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital with serious neck injuries has been arrested in connection with the killing.
Mrs Smith's mother and father, Mavis and Gerald, and brother Gary Wiffen said they had been left heartbroken by her death.
They said: "Deborah was a lovely, bubbly, fun person, who was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, auntie and friend.
"As a family we are absolutely heartbroken. Our lives will never be the same. We love and miss her. A most precious sister, daughter and mother, has been taken from us."
