A yob jumped on a taxi bonnet kicked the windscreen and spat at the driver in a drunken rage.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man caused damage to a taxi in Wantage, on Saturday night.
Officers were called to Market Square at around 1.30pm to reports a man had jumped on the bonnet of a taxi causing a dent.
Police said he then kicked the the windscreen and climbed onto the roof before spitting and shouting at the driver.
Pc Ivan Jarvis said: "There were four men who saw this incident happening and I am appealing for them to contact me.
"I believe they could have information to help with my enquiries. It seems that this yobbish behaviour has been fuelled by an excessive amount of alcohol - it is not acceptable and will not be tolerated."
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in relation to this incident and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
