A Littlemore man has appeared in court accused of sending sexualised messages to what he thought were underage girls.
Prosecutors also say Roberto Silva, 23, attempted to meet one of the ‘girls’ – in fact a decoy account – in order to engage in sexual activity with her.
Appearing before Oxford Crown Court on Friday afternoon, Silva entered no pleas to the charges he faces.
Judge Nigel Daly adjourned the case for the preparation of medical reports and provisionally fixed the trial date for February 22 next year. Silva was bailed.
At the magistrates’ court, Silva, of Morrell Crescent, was charged with attempting to meet a child after sexual communication and attempted sexual communication with children. The offences were allegedly committed between November 2020 and June last year.
