Weston Turville Golf Course was established in 1973. The 18-hole golf course is just over 6,000 yards and is par 69. The course presents a demanding test for the lower handicap but is not so daunting that the higher handicap cannot score well and enjoy the game with prudent use of the shots they receive.
Variety
Water hazards are a distinctive feature of the course and there is plenty of variety in the character of the holes.
Among the many interesting holes is the 15th.
It is a 90-degree dogleg to the left with a green guarded by bunkers and water. Even with a good drive, the approach shot demands accuracy to give any real chance of par.
Arguably the best of the par 3's is the 178-yard 16th which requires a precise tee shot through the trees to a two-tiered green.
Delightful scenary
One of the great attributes of the course is that it provides an enjoyable golfing challenge.
It is also beautifully positioned at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, a combination which provides absolutely delightful scenery although not difficult walking terrain. Consequently, a day's golf does not have to be impaired by exhaustion.
The clubhouse has all of the amenities to fully enhance the day's enjoyment with its bar and dining facilities.
Luxurious
The shop is spacious, well stocked and very competitively priced. The changing facilities have just been refurbished to a luxurious standard.
But what really makes Weston Turville Golf Club a special venue is the welcome you will receive. The dedicated staff ensure their customers are looked after.
