Founded in 1890, this archetypal English parkland course provides a constant challenge for golfers of all categories and abilities.
A delightful 6,316 yards, 18-hole, par 71 golf course, it is laid out in two loops comprising tree-lined fairways in a delightful but challenging setting and is maintained to a high standard.
The nearby river Glyme is the source of a number of water features throughout the course. Occupying some of the highest ground in the Cotswolds, drainage is good and practically guarantees year-round play.
The club encourages competitive and social golf for members and runs a range of competitions and inter-club matches in all categories, while ensuring that course time is also available to members who wish to make their own arrangements.
We also have reciprocal arrangements with 13 other clubs where members can play for minimal cost. A modern clubhouse is the venue for a full programme of social events and is equipped with an excellent bar and restaurant.
Our resident caterer provides an extensive range of snacks and meals and is the reason why many visitors return to the club, year on year.
The pro shop stocks a range of quality equipment and clothing and our resident professional, Neil Rowlands, and his staff, offer tuition for all levels of ability, including low-cost coaching for juniors.
As a private members' club we offer among the most attractive subscription rates in the area.
This, coupled with the ability to play the course all-year-round, offers fantastic value-for-money in playing one of the best courses in the county. We have membership vacancies and welcome golf societies from Monday to Friday, except bank holidays.
