Jesse Williams, 35, of Aldebarton Drive, Oxford, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be identified for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent when their case came before Oxford Crown Court on Thursday morning.
Judge Nigel Daly adjourned the case for a week – to October 21 – when it is anticipated the two defendants will learn their trial date.
A number of other individuals have been charged in connection with the alleged assault on June 1 this year.
Isabel Delamere appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. Gordana Austin was for Williams and Peter du Feu for the boy.
