A new initiative to bring together the brains of Britain to come up with ways of keeping soldiers safe has been launched in Oxfordshire.
Today was the first seminar to be held at the Centre for Defence Enterprise, at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, near Didcot.
It was a chance to bring together inventors, investors, entrepreneurs and academics to come up with new technologies to help the Ministry of Defence.
Speakers will highlight the challenges that face soldiers on operations and challenged listeners to come up with solutions.
Baroness Ann Taylor, minister for defence equipment and support, is the keynote speaker. It is hoped seminars will take place regularly throughout the year.
