A man accused of throwing poo at a prison officer failed to attend court.
Godwin Dayoni, 20, is said by prosecutors to have flung faeces at the gaoler in HMP Bullingdon on July 12 last year – a form of assault known as ‘potting’.
He is yet to enter a plea to an allegation of administering a noxious substance with intent to injure, aggrieve or annoy.
The Londoner, of Barley Lane, Ilford, was due before Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday morning to enter his pleas to the single count.
When he failed to attend court, Judge Nigel Daly issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
He directed that the defendant should be brought to Oxford Crown Court if he was arrested, rather than a magistrates’ court in London.
