Organisers are hoping 13 will not prove a bad omen for them as they prepare to stage the 13th Wantage Festival - with 60 events spread over a month.
One special concert will be in memory of the late Jim Moley who was chairman of the festival. It will be given on July 5 by Wantage Silver Band, of which he was president for many years.
The festival concentrates on local talent.
The official opening will be at 11am on Saturday June 7, in the town's Market Square, with Wantage Silver Band and the Icknield Way Morris Men.
There will be two charity concerts organised by Folk For MS, raising money for research into multiple sclerosis.
The festival runs to July 6, and includes classical, jazz and folk music, art, flower arranging and poetry.
