I WANT to take a long, hard look at household recycling in Oxford.
I want to clear up the mess and provide a decent service to flats and maisonettes.
I need the help of your readers in identifying the overflowing bins and increasing the rate of recycling.
Doubling the rate of recycling from 18 to 36 per cent is a fantastic achievement by Oxford residents.
But we are still recycling less than Cherwell district and I want Oxford to be the best.
If they can do it in Kidlington, we can do it in Littlemore!
Oxford needs a simpler system which will raise recycling rates.
Throwing rubbish into big holes in the ground is costly and bad for the environment.
And local people know best how the now Labour-run city council can make it easier to recycle.
Last year, I had an amazing time as Lord Mayor of Oxford.
I now need the help of Oxford people to make recycling in Oxford simply the best.
Please contact the city council recycling team via the website or on 01865 252900, ring me on 01865 251441 or email john.tanner@tanox.demon.co.uk
