Police have arrested a man on suspicion of killing a woman who was found at her home with with her throat slashed.
Debbie Smith, 47, died from her injuries on Bank Holiday Monday after the incident in Bell Lane, Wheatley.
This morning a 49-year-old man, believed to be Russell Yeates, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He is currently in the John Radcliffe Hospital in a serious, but not life-threatening condition after suffering throat injuries.
He is currently under police guard, awaiting interview by detectives.
A post mortem investigation into the cause of Ms Smith's death was carried out by a coroner in Oxford yesterday and showed she died from a wound to her throat caused by a sharp implement.
