JOSEPH HWANG, 37, of Queens Court, Bicester, admitted driving a Nissan Nivara on Banbury Road, Oxford, in March while over the drug driving limit for cannabis. He was fined £350, banned from driving for 18 months and must pay £165 in costs and surcharge.

ROLAND POPCEV, 53, of Heyford Hill Lane, Littlemore, admitted driving a Skoda Superb on the Eastern Bypass in Oxford on July 5 while over the drink driving limit. He had 84mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35. The magistrates fined him £400, banned him from driving for 20 months and ordered he pay £245 in costs and surcharge.

JAMES O’FIERA, 33, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order by going to a property in Henley at the end of July. He was jailed for 10 months, with the district judge noting it was his fourth breach of the order. He must pay a £187 victim surcharge.

WILFRED MOSIRA, 35, of no fixed address, admitted failing to provide a blood specimen and driving without a valid licence or insurance on the A34 in April. The court record notes that he had caused an ‘accident due to lack of ability to judge due to intoxication’ and deliberately refused to provide a blood specimen. He was jailed for eight weeks and banned from driving for a year-and-a-half.

TIMOTHY WALL, 39, of Main Road, Long Hanborough, pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol, toiletries and food from Tesco, taking CCTV belonging to TSB bank in Witney and making off from a petrol station in Eynsham without paying for fuel. He was given 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for 18 months with a drug rehabilitation requirement. Separately, he admitted driving a Vauxhall Astra in Chipping Norton without a valid licence, insurance and while over the drug driving limit. He was banned from the roads for a year.

JOSHUA FOX, 25, of Blakeman Lane, Eynsham, admitted drink driving a Vauxhall Corsa on the A420 at Dean Court, Oxford, in February. Tests showed he had 36mcgs of alcohol in 100ml breath, only very slightly over the legal limit of 35. He was fined £400, given a 12 month driving disqualification and was ordered to pay £125 in costs and surcharge.

MITCHELL VELLA, 21, of HMP Rochester, admitted assaulting three prison officers at HMP Bullingdon by spitting on them. He was ordered to pay £75 compensation to each of the three gaolers and must pay £40 in costs.

JASON GOVES, 46, of Burrows Crescent, Chipping Norton, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus in Banbury Road, Chipping Norton, while over the drug driving limit for cocaine-derivative benzoylecgonine. He was fined £135, banned from driving for a year and must pay £125 in prosecution costs.

MAXWELL STEVENSON, 28, of Godwin Row, Brize Norton, pleaded guilty to driving a Toyota Proace on the A417 in East Hendred in April while disqualified from driving and when he was not insured to drive the car. He was fined £150, banned from driving for 21 days and must pay a £34 victim surcharge. No prosecution costs were ordered due to what was noted in the court record as ‘admin errors at DVLA’.

KEIRON WALKER, 37, of Todmorden, West Yorkshire, admitted driving an Audi A3 on Churchill Road, Bicester, while over the drug driving limit for benzoylecgonine and cannabis. He was fined £266, banned from driving for three years and must pay £119 in costs and surcharge.
