A woman has died and a man is critically wounded after a "domestic incident" in Wheatley yesterday.
Officers were called to Bell Lane at 4.15pm after being alerted by a member of the public and found the man and woman, who have not been named, seriously injured.
The pair were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the woman later died from her injuries.
Thames Valley Police spokesman Toby Shergold said: "Detectives are investigating a suspected domestic incident that occurred in Bell Lane, Wheatley, yesterday.
"A woman has been left dead and a man in a critical condition in hospital.
"Both the man and woman were discovered by officers at the scene with serious injuries and taken to the John Radcliffe."
The identity of the woman is likely to be released later today.
