Original Swan, the reigning ODDA Winter League Premier Division champions, got their summer campaign off to a good start when they triumphed 7-2 away to Section 1 side College Oak.
Wins from Tony Leone, Peter Rouse, Jon Jukes and Simon Smith gave them a 4-0 lead and sealed thew win in the doubles Summer League champions Railway Social Club A, after missing the winter season, quickly got into their stride when they won 7-2 at home to White Horse Inn.
They raced into the lead thanks to win from Roger Haines, Phil Addison, who had two 180s, and Steve Foster, who had one maximum.
The visitors pulled one game back when Kevin Middleton beat Nigel Russell, but Barry Stratford beat Graham Manning, who had a maximum, before Railway sealed victory.
Shelley Arms C proved too strong for the newly-promoted Rose Hill Community Centre, running out 8-1 winners.
Chequers Inn entertained Section 2 rivals Three Horseshoes, who took a 2-0 lead through Steve Willoughby and Paul Bustin.
The home side pulled one back when Richard Reveley beat Nigel Hodge, but wins from John Smith and Dave Butler pute Shoes into a 4-1 lead.
But the Chequers staged a remarkable recovery by taking the pairs 3-0 for a battling 5-4 victory.
