A driver has been arrested on the A34 after police issued a drugs wipe which came back positive.

Officers with the Thames Valley Police Roads Policing unit stopped the vehicle on the A34 at North Hinksey, Oxford.

The driver provided a positive drug wipe for cannabis, was arrested, and taken to Abingdon Police Station for a blood procedure.

A number of drug and drink driving culprits have been pulled over by Thames Valley Police in the county over the last few months.

Including a 20-year-old man from London who was pulled over after speeding on St Clements.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of drug-driving.  

There was also a driver arrested in Bicester 10 days ago after providing a positive drugs wipe for cannabis.
