A teenager charged with stabbing a kebab shop worker in the chest has been remanded in custody.
Hussein Ali Zada, 18, of Botley Road, Oxford, appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court today charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court next Friday.
The charge is in connection with the knifing of Turkan Akyuz, 37, who received at least five stab wounds outside Bodrum Kebabs in Cowley Road on Wednesday evening.
