We note that Labour city councillor Susanna Pressel is pretending to care about traffic and air pollution levels in Botley Road, Oxford (Oxford Mail, May 19).
Well, actions speak louder.
If Labour councillors really cared, they would not have supported the vehicle-dependent commercial warehouses along Botley Road that have replaced much-needed housing.
Nor would they, along with the Lib Dems and Tories, have pushed forward the vastly commercial and vehicle-generating Westgate expansion.
This will ensure that Botley and Abingdon Roads are solid with traffic queues nearly all the time.
Electorate, be clear - a vote for Labour, Lib Dem or Tory is a vote for ever-increasing traffic and pollution, however they may try to assure you otherwise.
