A man was stabbed in the chest outside a takeaway in Oxford last night.
The 34-year-old was knifed by the entrance to Bodrum Kebabs, on Cowley Road, at around 11pm.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he remains in a stable condition this morning.
A 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and currently in custody being interviewed by detectives.
Dc Chris Bolger, of Oxford CID, said: "This was a nasty attack but thankfully the victim is recovering well in hospital.
"I would like to reassure local residents that this was an isolated incident between two men who were known to each other.
"If anyone was in the area of Bodrum's at around 11pm last night and saw something we would be interested in speaking to them."
