Sir - I am honoured that William Patience feels strongly enough to respond to my letter (Cock-eyed logic, Letters, May 2).
I am glad that he feels sufficiently financially comfortable to be in a position to advise others on how to spend their pension, and sorry that he considers that pensioners clog up the buses at certain times.
I would have thought that this was simply a bus scheduling problem.
I would, however, be particularly interested to know his interpretation of the meaning of the word 'free'.
