Sir - As for many others the death knell has struck for Iffley Post Office.
These vital centres of the community are condemned to the past. Despite all our efforts and the full support, both in person and by letter, of our MP Andrew Smith, they are gone. But then Mr Smith went to the House of Commons and voted for the continuation of the post office closures. We are told it was something to do with a Tory trick. We do not elect our MPs to play silly games about strategies etc with other parties. We elect them in the hope that they will support what is right and honourable and likely to benefit our communities. Cynical? You bet we are!
