AN ORTHOPAEDIC surgeon based at the Horton Hospital has been asked to advise on the safety and efficacy of a special kind of surgery.
Nick Gillham will be advising the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, Nice, how well total wrist replacement works.
The Horton has carried out more than ten cases of total wrist replacement using a new technique in the past year, and reported encouraging results.
