A SELF-TAUGHT photographer has snapped up another seven awards for his talent.

Shane Miller, of Park Road, Didcot, won the top prize in all seven categories of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers competition.

And he fought off stiff competition from world-class photographers across the globe.

The 45-year-old, has also won the Kodak Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2005, Portrait Photographer of the Year in 2004 and UK Photographer of the Year in 2003.

A father-of-three, he set up his photographic studio in Upper Basildon, Berkshire, with his wife Kim almost 10 years ago after a stint as a vintage car restorer.

He said: "My dad was a big photographer and I thought I would give it a go.

"I started taking more pictures when I had children and it just went from there.

"Everyone strives to better themselves, but my main goal is to create the perfect image.

"I'm constantly trying to better myself.

"It was fantastic to win.

"It was good to see what I'm like against my peers.

"It was down to hard work and I think you have to have talent.

"It's got to be within you, you have to have passion for it."
