A TRAIN company is seeking help from Banbury residents to uncover the town's hidden gems for a new online guide.
CrossCountry Trains is putting together a guide to things to see and do in all the destinations along its routes, including Banbury.
The aim is to paint a contemporary picture of the town and the firm is appealing for people to recommend their favourite places and share the area's best-kept secrets.
They could include children's activities, pubs, walks, places of natural beauty and traditions and festivals.
And if you send in the most interesting suggestion, you could receive a return train ticket for two to anywhere on the CrossCountry network.
CrossCountry commercial director David Watkincor said: "Even for people who have visited there before, this guide could offer an insight to parts of Banbury they may have been unaware of.
"We will, of course, include all the main attractions that Banbury has to offer, but what we are really keen to showcase is the hidden gems that only those who live in the area would know about. "
Anyone wishing to make a nomination is asked to visit crosscountrytrains.co.uk and send details of the attraction, with any pictures, by Monday, June 2.
