You published my letter about the non-emptying of the recycling bins provided for the residents of flats in Craufurd Road at Cowley, Oxford (Oxford Mail, April 14).
The problem was resolved temporarily, but has now resurfaced.
Our recycling bins (big green ones linked together) are regularly being abused and contaminated again by an individual (at night) dumping what appears to be catering refuse (including orange council-issued business bags), such as large plastic milk, orange juice and cooking oil cartons, and other material possibly from a mobile catering van.
Yet council officers, without justification, blame the residents of the flats.
Again, the collectors are leaving bins full up.
A potential health hazard is being compounded by the inefficient "not my job" attitude of council officers and employees.
In hot weather like we have had recently, that is grossly irresponsible.
Enough is enough. If these council officers and employees cannot, or will not, do their jobs properly, then be gone!
We were promised an investigation, which never took place. Yet I bet those, who are shirking their responsibilities, took their salaries at the end of April!
