Motorists have been warned to expect delays when repair work on the A34 between Botley and Pear Tree begins.
Carriageway and bridge repair work will take place for approximately 40 nights, with speed restrictions and diversions in place during that time.
Work was due to start on Monday and will mean disruption at the following times: Monday-Thursday nights -10pm-5am Friday nights - 11pm-6am Saturday nights - 10pm-7am Sunday nights - 11pm-5am During these times, the north and southbound bound carriageways between Botley (A420) and Pear Tree (A44) will be closed and a 40mph speed limit will be in place on the north and southbound carriageways between the Wytham Godstow bridge and Thames Wytham bridge.
Drivers have been warned that during certain stages of the work, 10mph limits will be enforced.
Meanwhile, four nights of repair work will take place on the southbound carriageway between Botley and Hinksey Hill, was also due to start on Monday.
Overnight closures and restrictions will take place during the hours outlined above.
