NEIGHBOURS alerted emergency crews after they saw smoke coming from the side of a house in Milton Common, near Thame, today.
Firefighters arrived at the house in London Road at 6.53am, where they discovered a fire in a small oil-burning boiler in the ground floor of a house.
The oil supply to the boiler was quickly cut-off and the fire extinguished before it could spread any further.
Meanwhile, firefighters were called in the early hours today to deal with an electrical fire at a home in Yarton.
Emergency crews arrived at the house in The Paddocks, off Rutten Lane, Yarnton, at 12.01am, where they found a fire that had started in a meter cover.
The fire was in the ground floor of the two-storey building, and firefighters quickly put out the blaze before it could spread.
