Neighbours alerted emergency crews after they saw smoke coming from the side of a house in Milton Common, near Thame, this morning.
Firefighters arrived at the house in London Road at 6.53am, where they discovered a fire in a small oil burning boiler in the ground floor of a house.
The oil supply to the boiler was quickly cut-off and the fire extinguished before it could spread any further.
Meanwhile, firefighters were called in the early hours of this morning to deal with an electrical fire at a home in Yarton, near Kidlington.
Emergency crews arrived at the house in The Paddocks, off Rutton Lane, in Yarton at 12.01am, where they found a fire that had started in an electrical gas metre cover.
The fire was in the ground floor of the two storey building, and firefighter quickly put out the blaze before it could spread.
