Chiltern Railways trains are expected to be very busy all weekend, due to the closure of the main Virgin Trains Birmingham-London route for engineering work and football finals at Wembley on Saturday and Sunday.
Modified timetables will be in operation, with many trains retimed and making extra stops at Wembley Stadium station.
Passengers from Oxfordshire are advised to use trains starting and finishing their journeys at Banbury or Bicester North.
Some Wrexham & Shropshire trains are also retimed on Sunday to allow for extra stops at Wembley, while the 7.17pm departure from London, which calls at Banbury at 8.33pm, is extended to run through beyond Shrewsbury to Wrexham.
