YACHTSMAN Adrian Flanagan has entered British waters as he approaches the finish line on his round-the-world voyage.
Mr Flanagan set off in November 2005 in a bid to raise money for the Oxford Children's Hospital appeal and to become the first person to solo circumnavigate the globe via the polar regions.
Yesterday he was close to the Shetland Islands, off the north coast of Scotland.
The yachtsman began his final leg from Norway on April 30 and expects to dock in Southampton, next Wednesday.
