King Alfred's (Wantage) lifted the Oxfordshire Under 12 Cup with a 1-0 win over Cherwell (Oxford) in the final at Letcombe FC.
The only goal came following a free-kick after 20 minutes when Alex Frost headed the ball on, and George Thatcher lobbed the advancing keeper.
Thatcher had to leave the field with an Achilles injury just before half-time.
And at the final whistle Cherwell were left wondering how they failed to take victory, having dominated most of the play.
But the King Alfred's defence, with Jack Hamblin and Josh Woodbridge in outstanding form, stood firm to keep a clean sheet, having conceded only one goal in the competition.
