What I consider to be the most appalling aspect of post office closures is the fact that these are being carried out under a Labour Government.
I always thought that the Labour Party's main concerns were with the vulnerable and poorer members of our society.
And surely, these are the very people who, on the whole, use post offices?
I also find the advertising of post offices on television an insult, showing complete arrogance from this wretched and incompetent Government.
Surely it should have been realised that this is rubbing salt in the wound, asking people to use their post offices when they are being closed all over the country?
And how much is this advertising campaign costing? Enough to keep a few post offices open, I suspect.
Another more sinister aspect of the post office closures is that I believe the European Union is involved. If this is the case, the sooner we leave this useless, profligate Union the better.
