REAL ale enthusiasts who visited Banbury's Beer Festival at the weekend drank the place dry.
Around 1,600 drinkers consumed 6,300 pints of beer, cider, and perry from 80 different breweries.
The first beer to sell out was the Banbury 400 ale, brewed at Hook Norton Brewery to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the town's charter.
Customers were asked to vote for their favourite ale, and Beer of the Festival was 'Trappers Hat' from Brimstage Brewery, on the Wirral.
The beer was one of 20 from small breweries in the north west of England.
Mark Bates, chairman of the North Oxfordshire branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, said: "The Friday night and Saturday sessions were the busiest with the TA Centre in Oxford Road proving an ideal location for the festival.
"On Saturday, the crowds had a full day of entertainment - traditional Morris Dancing followed by a pig roast, and singer/guitarist Paul Canning in the evening.
"The Hook Norton day horses toured the town centre on Saturday to promote the festival."
