Citroën exhibited its new Berlingo range at the 2008 Commercial Vehicle Show before it goes on sale on June 5.
The new Berlingo takes over from its predecessor, which was one of Europe's most successful light commercial vehicles, with more than 800,000 Berlingo vans sold worldwide. The new model has greater carrying capacity, thanks to its larger load compartment and higher payload capability, with higher standards of driver/passenger safety and comfort, and low running costs.
The newcomer is available with two trim levels, three engines and two vehicle lengths in an 11-model range (which includes a unique platform cab model) and is available with Citroën's optional Extenso modular cabin. With this option, the Berlingo has the ability to transport loads of 3 metres or more long dependent on model or occasionally carry up to three people.
