FORMER Miss Great Britain Universe Louise Lakin will add a touch of glamour to the job of fundraising for a new cricket pavilion.
She is organising a charity night to boost funds for the Warborough pavilion and already has jockey Richard Dunwoody and cricketer Devon Malcolm on board for the event.
She hopes that Midsomer Murders star John Nettles will also be at the Shillingford Bridge Hotel on July 18, as many episodes of the television crime series have been filmed in Warborough.
He has already sent autographed DVDs of the programme to be auctioned on the night.
Miss Lakin, who was Miss Great Britain Universe in both 2000 and 2002, said: "We have 140 tickets and the aim is to raise as much money as possible for Warborough and Shillingford Cricket Club. I have invited several celebrities that I know."
The beauty contest is now known as Miss Universe.
