Midland Counties Youth Championship
Rob Hoskins's dramatic last-minute winner saw Oxfordshire Under 16s crowned champions with a 3-2 victory over Birmingham in their title decider at Banbury.
Oxon, who needed to win to take the crown after losing their previous game 1-0 away to Herefordshire, looked to be on course after taking a 2-0 lead in the second half.
It wasn't until the hour mark that they broke the deadlock when Luke Carnell headed home a Kieran Sanders corner.
Oxon increased their lead in the 74th minute when Danny Lewis headed home another Sanders corner.
But Birmingham pulled a goal back four minutes later and then equalised two minutes from time.
It looked like Oxon had let the title slip from their grasp.
But then deep into injury time, the Birmingham keeper spilled a Sanders corner and Hoskins fired the ball home to make Oxon champions.
Oxon will receive the championship shield at the Doug Watts Memorial Cup match against Berks & Bucks at Oxford City tonight (7.30).
