A horse and cart trundles through the floods, but can anyone tell us anything about the picture?
It was brought to Newspaper House by Brian Troth, of South Hinksey, who found it in his family archives.
He is not sure about the date, but judging from the transport, it must have been early in the 20th century.
According to Mr Troth, the horse and cart could have belonged to Barton bakery, which was based in South Oxford, or Carter Patterson, a delivery firm from West Oxford, which later formed part of British Road Services.
He remembers driving a similar vehicle when he was about 17.
Another horse-drawn cart is emerging into the picture on the left, and on the right is a two-wheel horse-drawn governess cart, a popular form of transport for Sunday afternoon jaunts.
