A 20-year-old man had to fight off and flee a sex attacker at Redbridge park-and-ride.
Police said today the victim got into a car, which he mistakenly believed was a taxi, in Botley Road at 2.30am on Sunday and asked to be taken home.
However, he was taken to the park-and-ride site in South Oxford where he was sexually assaulted.
He managed to fight off the man - who is described as Asian, aged in his late 20s to early 30s and driving a two-door blue car - and then hid in some bushes.
Det Con Mel Steel, of Oxford CID, said: "After the assault took place the victim flagged down a silver Citroen. A woman and her son, who were in the car, advised him to contact police before driving off.
"He then pulled over a passing taxi and asked the driver to take him to his home address. I appeal to both these people, who helped out the victim, to contact police as they may be able to assist our enquiries."
