A GROUP of children stepped back in time to celebrate their school's 150th anniversary.
North Hinksey Primary School rounded off a series of special events to mark the occasion with a historical play at the King's Centre in Osney Mead, Oxford.
Before Thursday evening's show, all the pupils and their teachers walked in costume from the school to the venue. Each of the school's six year groups were given a particular period in history to research and then illustrate with a stage performance.
Headteacher Sally Wheatley said: "We have had a number of events to mark our anniversary and this is the finale.
"Each year group was given an era in history to look into, going back 150 years to when the school began. Our youngest pupils, in Year One, have been studying the Victorians and I think all the children have really enjoyed it."
