Residents were this morning evacuated after a fire in a flat in north Oxford led to concerns about the building's safety.
People were evacuated from Oakthorpe Manor in Oakthorpe Road, Summertown, after the blaze in the living room of the first floor-flat.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 3.11am.
Two crews from Oxford attended and used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics.
Thames Valley Police were called to the scene by firefighters at 4.30am because of concerns over the safety of the building. Officers evacuated the building and closed the road to traffic.
Police spokesman Toby Shergold said the fire was not believed to be suspicious and the building needed work to make it safe.
It is not yet known when the road will reopen.
