CHERWELL District Council has called for local authorities to have more control over the siting of mobile phone masts.
It is calling on the Government to change its approach to planning, and wants the power to reject applications for what it considers to be poorly-sited masts that might present health risks.
Current Government rules mean health concerns cannot be used as reasons to refuse phone mast planning applications.
